LERAS Afrique is a research-action institution adapted to the health needs of populations. Solving health problems requires the contribution of well-trained actors, design frameworks capable of thinking up innovative solutions adapted to the context of grassroots populations, rather than superimposing knowledge from elsewhere. This requires training based on evidence from the field. Our actions in this area revolve around continuing education programs for healthcare professionals, and making scientific literature available to university students, clinicians and decision-makers.
Our network of researchers promotes the participation of healthcare system players in national and international scientific meetings, and contributes to the transfer of skills.
Health remains a major challenge in Africa, due to the lack of health coverage. LERAS Afrique is committed to supporting action-research initiatives to improve health in Benin and across the continent.
